I am desperate... I have 3 sons, 2 of which are graduating from high school this year and both want to go to college. One is moving away and the other is going to stay locally. Unfortunately we did not plan for them to go to college. They will be the first in 5 generations to attend college. They both work and know that they are going to have to continue to do so while in college, to help fund their own education. This seemed so doable until I arrived to work this morning. I was planning on cutting out all unnecessary extras that we certainly can live without to help with the shortfall... My boss walked in and told me that my hours are being cut. I am going to loose $1000.00 a month of my income. Now this not only hurts the college shortfall but our livelihood as well.
My husband & I are both employed and have always worked very hard for what we have, and now I am here begging for help.
I have always been in the helper position, often giving financial assistance to people in need regardless of the impact to my "extra fund" I'm only hoping that this is for real and that my past will be paid forward. I do believe that when things get back to normal I will be in a position to once again help others. In the mean time, I am begging, please help... I am going to be looking for a second job waiting tables or cleaning houses, something, anything to help make up what I am loosing...
