I am a 42 year old widow with a 10 year old son. My husband died of bone cancer in 2006 when our son was 6years old. Since then we have been having a hard time surviving on a widows pension. It isn't enough to live on in this day. My son has Autism and requires special therapy. I also have a 16 year old that is no relation to me that I am raising due to his parents drug problem. They got rid of him instead of their drugs, So now I am raising him as my own. My late husband and I bought a little house a few years before he died, it needs a lot of repairs now. I would like to keep the house but because of its age and my credit, I can't get a loan to remodel it. It needs siding, windows and I have a leaking roof among a few other things. I still owe around 38 thousand on the house yet and it will cost around 50 thousand to fix it up. My utilities are running around $600 a month and to top it all off I received a letter from the county telling me that due to my past due Taxes of $700 they can and will sell my house in 2010. That would put my family out in the cold. I would need around 250 thousand to get our lives back in order and on the right path to salvation. Can someone PLEASE help me before its too late.
